Dark spots on the face can occur due to harmful rays or due to aging. Herbal treatment for facial dark spots is an effective way to improve the overall skin complexion. Extrapone Nutgrass: Use this herb for preventing dark spots on face.
Lemon: Lemon is used as a natural bleaching agent. Lemon oil also aids in cleansing the skin. It can be added to almond oil or jojoba oil and applied on the face regularly.
Sandalwood: Make a paste with sandalwood and rose water and put on the facial dark spots. Leave it on for some time and wash.

Bilberry herb: This herb extract should be taken to slow down the aging process.
Fenugreek: Paste of fresh fenugreek leaves can be applied to the face.

Bergamot Essential Oil

Bergamot essential oil comes from an extraction of ripe and unripe fruits (the peel) of the bergamot orange tree using cold compression. It comes from southern Italy, France and Turkey in which it is used for both essential oil production and marmalade, but not typically used for juice production.  As with most citrus oils, bergamot can induce a happy feeling in its users and help alleviate problems like urinary tract infections while increasing the productivity of the spleen, liver and parts of the digestive system.  Rub the oil into the stomach, onto the bottoms of your feet and onto sore throats.  Use a few drops of bergamot essential oil in your bath and have a soak that will not only help cure several skin conditions but also alleviate a bad mood and help reduce the pain and tension of sore muscles.

Camphor Essential Oil.

This particular oil is extracted from the bark and wood of the camphor tree using distillation.  Although it is hard to describe the smell of some essential oils, this one is often said to smell “fresh and clean”.  Its uses as a disinfectant, germicide and insecticide cannot be overstated.  To use at home as a water purifier, simply add a few drops to your jug and stir.  This will help to kill many different types of bacteria living inside.  Just leaving an open bottle of camphor essential oil out will help to deter the arrival of insects, but you can also burn a piece of cloth that has been soaked in the oil to do the same job.  Add a few drops of this wonderful oil to your bath and help kill off lice or small parasites that may have taken up residence in your hair or skin.

Lavender Essential Oil

You’ve certainly heard of lavender and probably have used it a time or two.  Certainly if you have essential oils this one should be a part of your supply. Lavender essential oil is derived by steam distillation of the beautiful and fragrant flowers of this herb.  Lavender doesn’t just smell nice; it packs a powerful punch in the use of burn treatments and in its fight against insomnia.  It’s one of the best essential oils for bringing about a peaceful environment with a calming, relaxed mood.  Keep a bottle in your medicine chest and either apply directly to a burn or soak the burnt area in a large bowl full of cool water mixed with lavender oil.  This will not only help to reduce pain but also help to heal the injured area.  Use lavender as a sleep aid by either putting the oil into a diffuser by the bed or adding a few drops to your pillow (or a cloth which you can then tuck next to your pillow).  By inhaling lavender scent you’ll calm your nerves and ease tension, allowing your body to relax and drift off into a far more peaceful sleep.

Palma Rosa Essential Oil

Palma Rosa is also referred to as Indian or Turkish geranium and is actually a grass native to tropical areas of India.  Often the scent is described as the smell of a lemon rose, or a rose smell with undertones of lemongrass.  The oil is derived through steam distillation of the dried grasses that are harvested before they flower.  This oil carries properties such as antiseptic, antiviral, a good digestive aid, hydrating and anti-bacterial agent.  With its antibacterial properties, this is a great cleaning agent; it disinfects while making your environment smell wonderful at the same time.  Mix a few drops of this oil with water in a spray bottle and spritz and wipe down counters, bathrooms, floors, window ledges, the fridge, and anything else that needs a good clean.  It’s also a great additive for hair; just blend palmarose with your carrier oil of choice (although olive or jojoba are the best ones for this particular recipe) and massage into your hair, from scalp to the ends.  Wrap your head in a towel (you can use a plastic bag or plastic wrap first to protect your towel from stains) and leave it for one hour.  If you don’t have time to do this during the day, use the solution and leave it on overnight.  Rinse after the hour is up or once you get up in the morning, and then shampoo and condition as you normally would. The solution will leave hair feeling soft and smooth and it will give it a brilliant shine!

Which Massage Oils Work For Your Baby’s Sensitive Skin?

If your baby’s skin is sensitive and prone to eczema or dryness, do not use vegetable oils like olive oil or high-oleic sunflower seed oil. Oils containing oleic acid make your little one’s skin more tender and dry.
